Being healthy is a choice that many of us make because we understand the importance of taking care of our bodies. Being healthy isn't just doing one specific thing but a combination of many different habits. Here are some of my healthy habits and positive ways I keep my health on track. One healthy habit I do my best to keep is my alone time when I meditate and disconnect from my daily environment. Spending 15-30 minutes outside or away from any distractions will help to lower your stress levels and allow your mind to reset. Even 5 minutes a day has shown to have health benefits. Another important daily habit to incorporate is daily exercise. This does not mean you have to go hard core at the gym everyday, it just means you need to do something to keep your body moving. This can be as simple as a walk for 15-20 minutes, a light jog or a team sport with some friends. Exercise also releases endorphins which help to boost are mood and helps to increase concentration because more oxygen reaches the brain. One healthy habit you should ALWAYS ensure you are doing is eating breakfast a meals that will help to give you energy through out the day. Our bodies need fuel throughout the day to keep us energized and our keep our minds focused. You should be eating at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables, a great way to incorporate this is by making a smoothie. I love to add some leafy greens and some fruits to balance out the taste. If you have questions about health and wellness I would recommend finding your local wellness center or San Diego Chiropractor. When trying to add healthy habits into your lifestyle its always best to find a office that can help keep you on track. Many San Diego Chiropractors are now adding many different options and services in their office to ensure their patients have access to many different natural ways of healing and staying healthy.
